The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) tests for PFAS in all 6 Hastings wells on a quarterly basis. On April 10, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency set new enforceable Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs) for PFOA and PFOS at 4 parts per trillion (ppt). The testing results put 5 of 6 wells over the MCL for PFOA and 1 of 6 wells over the MCL for PFOS.
