General Election - Tuesday, November 5, 2024

The 2024 General Election will be held Tuesday, November 5. In addition to the presidential candidates, several other offices will be on the ballot, including Hastings municipal seats for City Council.

*9/20 - Absentee voting begins.

Vote by absentee ballot at Hastings City Hall, the Dakota County Administration Building or one of the Dakota County service centers. Hastings City Hall has ballots for precincts within Hastings only. The Dakota County Administration Center and other Dakota County service centers have ballots for any precinct in the county.

10/15 – Voter pre-registration deadline for the General Election. The cutoff for pre-registration is 5:00 p.m. 21 days before any election. Drop voter registration applications off at the County Elections Office in Hastings. Voters can still register at the polls on election day.

*10/18 – Early voting begins.

Vote early at Hastings City Hall, the Dakota County Administration Building or one of the Dakota County service centers. Hastings City Hall has ballots for precincts within Hastings only. The Dakota County Administration Center and other Dakota County service centers have ballots for any precinct in the county.

11/5 - Election Day - Vote in your assigned polling location on Election Day - 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
