Home MenuCity Hall Renovation and Repair Project
In 2023, The City began a project to repair City Hall, including the historic dome on the former Dakota County Courthouse (now City Hall).
The project includes replacing the dome roof, restoring masonry, replacing the annex roof and updating the building's HVAC system to improve energy efficiency and lower humidity.
Due to the age of the building, the rehabilitation must be completed in compliance with strict historical design standards and should easily last another 100 years.
The city received funding of $2 million from the State Capital budget in 2020 for the overall project.
