The annual fire department open house is hosted each year during National Fire Prevention Week, in the early part of October. This is an opportunity for residents and businesses to tour our facility and learn about fire safety and fire prevention. The event includes activities and demonstrations including fire extinguishers, kitchen safety, exiting the home drills, CPR, as well as many more safety and injury prevention topics.

Many of our partners in public safety are represented at the open house and are available to answer your questions. Some of the agencies include Hastings Police, Dakota County Sheriffs, Heart Restart, and Regina Hospital.
