The Hastings Fire Department is dedicated to eliminating the risk to life, property, and environment from preventable fires by providing public fire education to everyone within the City of Hastings.  

Education

The Department provides fire prevention and fire safety education to our community; this includes school age education, residents, businesses, and community groups. Our presentations include a variety of prevention and safety topics, including home safety, kitchen fire safety, smoke and CO detectors, fire extinguishers, as well as many other safety topics. Code Safety and Inspections

The Department provides on going code compliance inspections, and safety planning for new and existing businesses, and rental properties in our community.
