The City of Hastings’ Makers Market is a place for area makers to sell their goods adjacent to our historic downtown and riverfront park.  We welcome artists, makers, crafters, and small brands.

 

What We Provide

The following is a list of what the City of Hastings will provide to help support a successful Makers Market.

  • 10’x10’ space to sell your goods
  • Public restrooms
  • Music. Each of the planned markets will coincide with the City’s Music in the Park events, which will be taking place in Levee Park. Music in the park typically draws between 250-450 attendees.

What You Need To bring

The following is a list of what each vendor will need to bring to the market in order to sell their products.

  • Your products
  • A payment method (e.g. Square).  No public wifi.
  • Table/Displays for your products
  • Bags
  • Tent Canopy (if you wish)

Cost to Participate

New this year: The City of Hastings is charging a one-time, non-refundable $50 vendor fee. This is good for all 2024 Makers Market events. Payments can be made by mail or in person. Credit card payments can only be made in person. Checks should be made payable to City of Hastings and include "2024 Makers Market - and Your Business Name" in the memo line. Mail check payment to the attention of Alex Menke, Hastings City Hall, 101 4th St. E., Hastings, MN 55033. 

Marketing

Marketing of event on the city website as well as city run social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram will ensure that we bring out as many shoppers as we possibly can! We ask all of our participants to also promote the market.

 Booth / Merchant Information

The City of Hastings is charging a $50 booth vendor fee this year, which covers all of the market dates. 

Vendors will need to complete a "ST19" form from the State of Minnesota.  That form can be found here: Form ST-19 (state.mn.us).  Please submit this completed form along with your vendor application.

Should a Vendor need to cancel their registration for an event, they should do so within one week from the date of the event. 

Cancellations

Weather: All marketplaces will be held light rain or shine unless we call off due to severe weather or other extreme circumstances.

Other Details

 Vendors selling goods for direct sales companies are not eligible for the Makers Market.
