Residential
The City of Hastings has a one-hauler system for residential recycling & trash collection. City code 50.07 requires that all residential property units 4 or less must use the City's current residential hauler. Effective January 1, 2013, the City's exclusive residential hauler is Tennis Sanitation.
- All residents and commercial properties, including multifamily, in Dakota County must recycle a designated list of materials and all haulers serving Dakota County must accept these items.
- If you are setting up service, experiencing service issues, or would like to adjust your level of service, please contact Tennis Sanitation directly at 651-459-1887. You can also visit the Tennis Sanitation Website.
- Please place containers out the night before your collection day or by 6:00 a.m.
- Collection takes place Monday-Saturday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.. Visit the Tennis Sanitation website for their yearly holiday hauling schedule, which may impact your collection day.
- Containers should be within 2 ft of the curb and 3-4 ft. away from all objects, including other carts.
- Tennis Sanitation takes all trash to the Recycling and Energy Center in Newport, MN to be incinerated and turned into energy.
