Review the Design Guidelines that relate to the proposed work.

For HPC review of a proposed appearance change, please fill-out a Certificate of Approval application with a description of the proposed work and submit it and the necessary pictures, plans, drawings, etc. to the City Planner at City Hall, 101 4th Street East, Hastings.

Applications submitted a week prior to the meeting date will be reviewed by the HPC at that month's meeting.  The HPC meetings are open to the public and are held at the following time and location:

Meeting Date: 3rd Tuesday of the month
Meeting Time: 7:00 p.m.
Meeting Location: Hastings City Hall

A few types of repairs, including roofing, can be approved by HPC staff within a couple days, without having to wait for the next meeting. Applicants are not required to attend the HPC meeting, but if no one is there to answer questions that arise, the HPC may table the application to a later date.
