New Addition at Linear Park Complements Habitat Work

In November 2023, The Hastings Environmental Protectors group, the Arts & Culture Commission and the Parks and Recreation Department installed a dragonfly sculpture that was created by local artist Dale Lewis at the Vermillion Falls Linear Park. The project received funds through the City's Community Investment Fund and complements the extensive restoration work in the park, which was completed with the assistance of local groups including high school field biology students, HEP and other local volunteers. The project adds a nature-themed sculpture along the trail to add aesthetic appeal. Photos: Courtesy of Jeannie Tribe Photography

Creative Convergence 2023

The Hastings Arts and Culture Commission hosted the 2nd Creative Convergence October 5, 2023

Simone Rendon kicked off the evening with an insightful presentation on how the Art Space could more effectively be utilized in the community. With ten organizations in attendance, the night proved to be a great opportunity for networking and collaboration.

The valuable input from guests gave insight into how the arts and culture can be celebrated most effectively in the future of Hastings.

Special thank you to the Art Space for use of your beautiful space and HPAC for providing refreshments for the evening. Photos: Courtesy of Jeannie Tribe Photography
