The Department responded to 3766 calls for service in 2022 (2988 medical and 778 fire).

The Hastings Fire and EMS Department is a dual-role department--it delivers both fire services as well as pre-hospital emergency medical service care through its Advance Life Support paramedic ambulance service. The Department consists of a Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, Fire Inspector, Fire Captains, full-time firefighter/paramedics, paid on-call firefighter/EMTs, and administrative support.
