Chief David Wilske

 

Chief David Wilske is a 25-year veteran of law enforcement.  He was appointed as the Police Chief for the City of Hastings on May 17, 2022.

Chief Wilske joined the Hastings Police Department in May 2017 as the Department's Deputy Chief, coming from the University of Minnesota Police Department where he served in a variety of roles for 20 years. 

Chief Wilske earned his Emergency Management Certificate while serving as the Deputy Chief for the City of Hastings and currently also serves as the City’s Emergency Manager.  In his own words, “I am so proud and honored to serve as the City of Hastings 56th Chief of Police.  The City of Hastings provides overwhelming support to public safety and we will continue to strive for excellence for the community.”  

Deputy Chief Bryan Schowalter  is a 16-year member of the Hastings Police Department and has served as Patrol Officer, Drug Task Force Investigator, Drug Task Force Sergeant/Team Leader, Patrol Sergeant, and most recently, Commander.  

Commander Kyle Linscheid  began his career with the Hastings Police Department in 2008 and has served as Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Drug Task Force Investigator/Team Leader, and most recently, Patrol Sergeant.  

Mary Cofer began her career with the Hastings Police Department in 1998 as a Receptionist/Dispatcher. In 1999 she transferred to a Police Secretary position and in 2003 was promoted to her current position of Police Administrative Services Manager.
